How the Cookie Crumbles

How the Cookie Crumbles

Over quarantine baking became a fad that everyone and their mother took up. From cookies to bread, Americans were baking up a storm. However, while most people grew out of their sugar happy phase others like freshman advertising major Isabella Brogna (@isabella.brogna) did not. Instead, the baking enthusiast decided to turn the chocolate chip cookies that her family and friends seemed to always rave about into her own small business, Breezy Cookie Co. (@breezycookieco).

Currently Isabella only sells chocolate chip cookies but she aspires to grow her business and her selection of cookies with it. She sells her delicious treats for $15 a dozen or $10 for half a dozen.

It only takes Isabella about an hour to make each order. However, she needs a day’s notice before she can get her supplies and access to a kitchen.

Isabella said that her favorite thing about having her own business is getting to design everything and make all the decisions.

“I’m so thankful for the opportunities for growth that running my own business has offered me,” Isabella said. “It’s a great way to do something you’re passionate about.”

She hopes to expand her business soon and have more customers with a wider reach. Isabella is working to eventually be able to ship her cookies and add new flavors to the menu.
